Isolated to Scattered Wednesday Afternoon Storms

Another typical summer forecast with highs in the middle 90s today. Rain chances remain slim today with isolated to scattered thunderstorms, during the afternoon hours at best. Heat index values will max out near 100 degrees with southerly winds bringing in more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Climate wise speaking, the Columbus area will run 3 to 7 degrees above normal the rest of the week and weekend. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the tropics but for now the tropics are quiet.
