Ford CEO Jim Hackett To Retire

FORD CEO JIM HACKETT WILL RETIRE IN OCTOBER AND BE REPLACED BY CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER JIM FARLEY

(CNN) – Ford announced it’s CEO, Jim Hackett, is retiring in October.

Hackett has held the post since May 2017.

On his retirement, he said “I’m very proud of how far we have come in creating a modern ford and I am very optimistic about the future.”

Ford’s chief operating officer, Jim Farley, will take over as president and CEO.

The automaker says Hackett will stay with Ford as a special advisor until March 2021, to help assist with the transition.
