Former Pope Benedict Recovering From ‘Painful’ Condition

THE VATICAN SAYS FORMER POPE BENEDICT IS RECOVERING FROM A ‘PAINFUL’ BUT ‘NOT SERIOUS CONDITION.’

(CNN) – The former pope has had some health issues recently.

Exactly what those are though; isn’t clear.

The Vatican would only say former Pope Benedict the 16th is recovering from what they’re calling a painful condition,  but they say it’s not serious.

His private secretary said it’s not cause for particular concern, pointing out that he’s 93-years-old.

The statement comes after a report in a German newspaper claimed he had shingles, calling him “extremely frail.”
