A Hot, Less Humid Wednesday

It will be your basic typical summertime forecast for Wednesday with highs in the low to mid 90s under a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance for isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm in the heat of the afternoon. With drier air filtering in behind a weak cold front, the humidity will be a bit lower (but still sticky) keeping the heat index from hitting the triple digits for most of the area.

The cold front with an associated surface low will become stationary to our south through Sunday before a projected warm front pushes it eastward on Sunday. This will help usher in more moisture and allow for a better chance for isolated to scattered showers Sunday into the first part of next week.

Daytime highs will hover near or a few degrees above seasonal (low to mid 90s) over the next few days then get a couple of degrees hotter for the weekend. Heat indices will return to the triple digits as we get into the weekend. Nighttime lows will range from the upper 60s to mid 70s through next week.

Keep smiling!
