Home Sales Jump 21% In June

SALES OF PREVIOUSLY OWNED HOMES JUMPED NEARLY 21% FROM MAY, ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS

(CNN) – The housing market came back to life in June.

The National Association of Realtors says sales of previously owned homes jumped nearly 21% from May.

That’s the largest month-over-month increase since tracking began in 1968. But sales are still below where they were before the coronavirus pandemic started.

NAR’s chief economist says record low mortgage rates are helping buyers; though market activity has been curbed because of the low inventory at the moment.
