High Temperatures Closer To Normal
Expect less coverage of shower and thunderstorms activity today, as the influences of Tropical Storm Hanna move farther and farther away from our area. That leaves us in the typical 20% to 30% chance of rain across the region. Most convection allowing models (CAMS) only develop a handful of showers/thunderstorms mainly in the late afternoon hours. Temperatures today will slightly decrease as the high pressure slides to our west and weakens slightly. Highs will be in the lower 90s for most locations and heat index values in the upper 90s to 100. Better rain chances return Saturday afternoon thru Sunday. At least the temperatures will continue to decrease.
