A Bit Cooler Thursday, Isolated Showers

The conditions from the past few days aren’t really changing much moving forward as we head into the weekend. Basically, we’re looking at a typical summertime pattern through at least the middle part of next week.

High pressure will continue to influence us through the next 8 days, but that won’t keep rain completely at bay. With ample moisture and daytime heating, daily isolated to scattered showers are possible. Diurnal heating will keep the environment unstable just enough to trigger a few strong to severe storms each afternoon/early evening with damaging winds and brief heavy rainfall possible.

Daytime highs will hover around the low to mid 90s with heat indices in the triple digits. Nightly lows will remain in the low to mid 70s.

Keep smiling!
