More Hot Weather with Scattered Showers on Wednesday

High pressure aloft will keep conditions hot and humid while triggering afternoon thunderstorms. The extreme heat will provide enough instability each day for isolated storms to become strong to severe with damaging winds being the main threat. A frontal boundary is projected to move into north Georgia late Thursday or early Friday which may stall and not pass through our area. Still, the chance for showers and thunderstorms will remain with us through the weekend.

Temperatures will hover mostly around the mid 90s with heat indices ranging from 100 to 105 through early next week. Overnight lows will remain around the mid 70s.

Keep smiling!
