Heathrow Airport Won’t Open All Terminals Until 2021
THE CEO OF LONDON'S HEATHROW, EUROPE'S BUSIEST AIRPORT, SAYS IT WILL NOT REOPEN ALL TERMINALS UNTIL 2021
(CNN) – London’s Heathrow; Europe’s busiest airport will not reopen all its terminals until next year.
That’s what the airport’s CEO tells CNN’s Richard Quest.
John Holland-Kaye told CNN Heathrow may reopen Terminal 3 later this year depending on demand.
Terminal 4, however will remain closed until next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Holland-Kaye also told CNN the real test will be summertime travel and then possible business travel during September and October.
The CEO also said the airport is starting to see a slow return in passengers.
However, he said the collapse in revenues mean the airport is coming to a point where it needs to consider job cuts.
