Former Blue Devil Golfer Ben Carr Looks to Defend His Southeastern Amateur Title
AFTER BREAKING THE COURSE RECORD LAST YEAR, BEN CARR IS LOOKING TO DEFEND HIS SOUTHEASTERN AMATEUR TITLE
Georgia Southern golfer Ben Carr is looking to defend his Southeastern Amateur title on his home course. Last year he won the event by 10 strokes, thanks in part to a course record score of 61 in the third round of the tournament.
“My friends joke with me and say I blacked out, which they’re kidding but I kind of did. I wasn’t thinking about anything,” said Carr. “I was going through the motions like it was another round and signed for a 61 without even realizing it.”
The Southeastern Amateur takes place July 21st-24th.
