Christchurch Murderer Will Represent Himself At Sentencing
CHRISTCHURCH MASS MURDERER PLANS TO REPRESENT HIMSELF AT SENTENCING
(CNN) – Brenton Tarrant, the Australian man who admitted to murdering 51 people in New Zealand’s worst terror attack will represent himself at his sentencing next month.
Tarrant was convicted of 51 counts of murder and 40 counts of attempted murder.
He will face a 3-day sentencing hearing beginning August 24.
On March 26 of this year, he rescinded his initial plea of not guilty and was convicted without a trial.
Tarrant was arrested on March 15, 2019, shortly after live streaming his attack on two Christchurch mosques.
