More Rain in the Forecast
That pesky surface low is finally moving away hitting the east coast and could turn into a sub-tropical or tropical system while sliding up the eastern seaboard over the next few days, but it won’t affect our area. We are not out of the woods when it come to tropical moisture as plenty still stretches across the region keeping at least isolated showers in the forecast through the weekend. With daytime temperatures heating back up adding to instability, strong thunderstorms are not out of the realm of possibility. May even see a severe storm or two.
Daytime highs are on the rise and are expected to linger in the upper 80s to low to mid 90s through next week. With dew points in the low to mid 70s, heat indices will reach into the low 100s Friday through Sunday. Nighttime lows will remain in the low to mid 70s.
