More Scattered Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms on Wednesday
Scattered showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast on Wednesday as deep, tropical moisture continues to pour into the region keeping the humidity at highly uncomfortable levels. The Euro model is keeping dew points in the mid 70s through the weekend. The GFS model, however, is trying to ingest drier air into the area by the weekend hoping a projected cold front will slide down from the north bringing high pressure along with it. Still some uncertainty, so we’ll have to see if the models come into agreement over the next few days.
Wednesday’s afternoon highs will remain below average hitting the mid to upper 80s. We’ll try to push into the low 90s on Thursday then hover in the low to mid 90s on Friday through the weekend. Nighttime lows will stay near seasonal in the low to mid 70s over the same stretch.
