Investors Uncertain As Facebook Boycott Continues

INVESTORS ARE STARTING TO NOTICE THE GROWING LIST OF COMPANIES BOYCOTTING FACEBOOK

(CNN) – Investors are starting to get rattled from a growing movement to boycott advertising on Facebook.

Facebook shares seemed to rebound after dipping in early trading on Monday and ending Friday down 8%.

This comes after large companies like Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Hershey’s, Honda, and Unilever have decided to stop advertising on the social media platform.

They say Facebook has failed to stop the spread of hate and misinformation.

It’s unclear how this boycott would effect Facebook’s bottom line since most of it’s ad revenue comes from small and medium-sized businesses.

In an effort to curb the revolt; Facebook has pledged to ban hateful ads and label controversial posts from politicians.
