China Locks Down 400K After 18 New Cases Reported
CHINA HAS PLACED NEW LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS ON 400,000 PEOPLE NEAR BEIJING AFTER 18 COVID-19 CASES WERE REPORTED
(CNN) – The country where the virus originated is taking a zero-tolerance approach to the kind of spike in cases that the US is seeing.
Some 400,000 residents in China’s Hebei province near Beijing; are now under strict new lockdown measures after 18 cases were reported.
Families are only permitted to send one person per household outside to purchase supplies once a day.
The new cases come after a cluster of cases arose linked to a Beijing market earlier this month; sparking widespread fear of a potential second wave across China.
