Cooler Today With A Chance Of Strong Thunderstorms
Below normal temperatures will continue for a couple more days. 90 degrees is normal for the Columbus area and we will struggle to get into the low to middle 80. I don’t think I’ll get any complaints on that. Showers and thunderstorms will form in the afternoon hours mainly after 1PM. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds and large hail. The Storm Prediction Center has some of our viewing area under a Marginal risk (1 out of 5) for isolated to scattered severe storms today. This is all being caused by an upper level low that is drifting southward near our area. Northeast winds will continue to keep temperatures below normal for highs and lows, over the next few days.
