More Stifling Humidity And Afternoon Thunderstorms

Hot and humid conditions will provide plenty of lift and fuel for afternoon thunderstorms, today. The best timing is from 1 PM to 7 PM, with storm movement from west to east generally.  Highs will range from the middle 80s to the lower 90s. Heat index values will approach the middle 90s for some locations as dew points will stay in the low to middle 70s, making it feel muggy and oppressive. Make sure to stay hydrated if you’re outside for long periods of time. Some of the storms could be strong with heavy rain, gusty winds, and of course frequent lightning. Tomorrow will be much like to today with additional lift provided by a cool front, that could provide a marginal risk of severe weather. Stay weather aware. Check with WLTZ First Weather for frequent updates!
