Daily Showers and Thunderstorms Return
The ridge of high pressure that has kept us dry is shifting east along with a surface high allowing for a more southerly low-level flow bringing increased moisture from the Gulf into the region. As high pressure continues to loosen its grip, even more Gulf moisture will pour in. This will continue through the weekend as Tropical Storm Cristobal is projected to move from the Bay of Campeche into the central Gulf by Saturday/Sunday. It is quite possible that we’ll receive a good bit of rain from this system as we head into the weekend, but there is still uncertainty as to the degree of impact (if any) the region will see.
Daytime highs will range from the low to mid 80s with nighttime lows in the upper 60s to low 70s for the rest of the week.
