Warm and Dry Start to June
RAIN CHANCES NIL UNTIL NEXT WEEKEND
After dealing with scattered showers and thunderstorms much of last week, we’ll dry out as we turn the calendar to June next week. The remainder of this weekend with be rain-free as well, allowing for plenty of sunshine for any outdoor activities. Humidity levels will be a touch lower as well, and highs should top out in the upper 80s both today and tomorrow. Lows tonight will be in the mid to upper 60s.
Temperatures will begin to warm this week as a ridge of high pressure makes its presence known in the Southeast. Highs will creep above the 90 degree mark and stay there through the weekend, with a few middle 90s possible by the time we reach Thursday and Friday. Lows will initially be in the upper 60s, but as moisture begins to infiltrate the area towards next weekend, nighttime temperatures will be around the 70 degree mark by next weekend.
A slight chance for showers and thunderstorms will return to the forecast by Friday into the weekend as enough moisture will work in to spark an isolated storm with the heating of the day in the afternoon and evening hours.
