Scattered Showers & Thunderstorms In The Afternoon

Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will roam the area during the peak heating hours (after 3 PM). Highs once again will top out in the middle to upper 80s and the heat index will approach the lower 90s for some locations. Most of the activity will diminish with the loss of daytime heating. Saturday forecast will be much like today with storms again along the cool front that will push through our area tomorrow. We’re not expecting any severe weather today or tomorrow but isolated strong storms are possible. After the passage of the cool front late Saturday, rain chances will come to an end for at least several days. Lower humidity and lower dew points will feel very pleasant for the first week of June, with plenty of sunshine.
