Temperatures Will Continue To Rise
The heat is on for the next several days. Temperatures will rise into the upper 80s today and continue to climb into the middle 90s possibly this weekend. High pressure will continue to steer weather systems away from our region. The dry weather will prevail through the weekend with only a small chance of rain and thunderstorms on Monday. A possible subtropical or tropical system will probably form later this weekend north of Cuba and drift into the Atlantic Ocean. This system will not directly impact our weather pattern. Normal is 84 for the high in the Columbus area and 61 for the low temperatures. We’ll be above average in both categories for the next few days, with highs ranging from the upper 80s to middle 90s and lows in the middle and upper 60s. Get the air conditioner, shorts, and sunglasses ready.
