Warm Cinco De Mayo Forecast

This is the last warm day of the week. Highs will approach 90 degrees in many locations around Columbus, GA and to our south. Officially the record high for today is 93 degrees for the Columbus, GA area. If your tired of the early summer like temperatures, don’t worry a cold front will pass through our area late tonight. With the passage of the cold front some of the storms could be strong. Best chance for severe thunderstorms remains to the north. After passage, high pressure centered over the plains will usher in cold air from the north. The colder air will settle in for the remainder of the work week. Lows will struggle to get out of the 40s on a few occasions.
