Cannes Film Festival Exploring Options

ORGANIZERS SAY THIS YEAR'S CANNES FILM FESTIVAL WILL NO LONGER TAKE PLACE IN THE SUMMER

(CNN) – Another blow for the movie industry.

It looks like the coronavirus will affect a well-known film festival.

Organizers of the Cannes Film Festival say they no longer plan to hold the event this summer.

The festival was originally scheduled to take place in May.

But the pandemic forced them to change the date to late June or early July.

Now they say they must postpone the festival again.

No word on if or when the event could take place.

The organizers say they are exploring other contingencies.
