Venezuela Extends State Of Alarm For 30 Days
VENEZUELA IS EXTENDING ITS STATE OF ALARM DUE TO CORONAVIRUS FOR AT LEAST 30 MORE DAYS
(CNN) – Venezuela is extending its state of alarm due to coronavirus for at least 30 more days.
President Nicolas Maduro announced the extension Sunday through a decree.
Last week, the United Nations sent Venezuela a 90-ton shipment of humanitarian aid, including medical equipment and hygiene kits to help the South American nation deal with the pandemic.
As of Sunday evening, Venezuela has 181 confirmed cases of coronavirus and nine reported deaths.
