Good Friday Forecast, Before Severe Weather Arrives On Easter Sunday

Good Friday forecast will be a cool one today.  The rain showers have moved out of the area and the skies will begin to gradually clear through today.  Highs today will only manage to climb into the middle 60s for many, that’s about 10 degrees below normal today.  A breezy northwest wind at about 10 t0 20 MPH will make it feel chilly today.  Lows tonight will be chilly to cold with some locations bottoming out in the upper 30s to lower 40s.  Saturday will be a quiet weather day before rain and thunderstorms move in late Saturday night.

Easter Sunday: Significant severe weather is possible on Easter Sunday. The severe storms will possibly move into the area late Sunday afternoon and last through early Monday morning.  All  severe weather modes are possible including localized flash flooding.  Some of the damaging wind events will be widespread with gusts to 70 MPH or more.  Long tracked and strong tornadoes are also a distinct possibility, Sunday. Please have multiple ways of getting weather watches and warnings.  Currently the main squall line looks to arrive around 11 PM Sunday night and exit our region by 6 AM.  Please go over your severe weather plan soon.
