A Cool and Windy Friday
We’ll start feeling the effects of the cold front that passed through today as temperatures tonight dip down into the low to mid 50s. Highs on Friday will only top out in the mid to upper 60s. Weekend highs will hover around the mid 70s with lows in the 40s and 50s.
We’re also going to stay dry (outside of a possible quick shower early Friday morning) through Saturday afternoon, but could see rain as early as Saturday night ahead of a very strong system that aims to bring significant severe storms to the area Sunday afternoon and evening. We’ll need to be prepared for widespread storms that could get quite intense with damaging winds up to 70 mph, hail 1 to 2 inches in diameter and a few tornadoes.
We’ll continue to track this developing storm threat over the next few days, so check back often.
