Staying Dry with Warmer Weather Ahead
It was another fantastic weather day across the Chattahoochee Valley and the Plains with lots of sunshine and mild daytime highs, but we will be getting warmer. Tonight will stay on the chilly side with temperatures getting down into the low to mid 40s if not a tad bit warmer.
Friday will see clouds starting to mix in ahead of an area of low pressure coming out of the west that will deliver wicked weather Texas and could give us spotty showers by Sunday. High pressure to our northeast will stall that front a bit, but will head out into the Atlantic Monday into Tuesday allowing rain to make its way in.
That rain looks to turn widely scattered on Tuesday into Wednesday. There will also be a chance of isolated thunderstorms with an uptick in instability due to warmer air moving in pushing highs into the mid 80s.
Highs for Friday will hit the upper 70s with lows getting down into the mid 50s on Friday night. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the low 80s across the weekend with nightly lows in the mid to upper 50s.
