Strong And Severe Thunderstorms Possible Today

Showers and thunderstorms will start to affect our area around 11 AM.  Some of the thunderstorms will be strong to severe producing damaging winds and a chance for isolated tornadoes.  This storm system will quickly move through the area and be out of our area by 3 PM.  Highs today will climb into the middle 70s for the Columbus, GA area. After the rain and storms end this afternoon the cool front will pass through, later on bringing colder air into our region.  You will really feel the difference tonight, into tomorrow morning with gusty winds out of the north dropping temperatures into the low to middle 40s.  Highs tomorrow will only be in the middle 60s for many, about 8 degrees below normal.

WLTZ First Weather Team will keep you updated on any watches or warnings that will be issued today.
