Hilton Furloughs Some Corporate Staff
HILTON ANNOUNCES FURLOUGHS AND PAY CUTS DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS
(CNN) – One of the largest hotel brands has announced furloughs amid the coronavirus crisis.
On Thursday, Hilton stated it was furloughing many of its corporate staff.
The workers could be off of the job for up to 90-days.
The hotel chain said those employees will keep their health benefits while out of of work.
It already put in place furloughs for workers at its properties.
Hilton also announced it was cutting the pay of its executives by 50%.
No word on how many will be effected by the pay cuts and furloughs.
Hilton reported it had about 60,000 direct U.S. employees at the end of last year.
