City Suspends Yard Waste Pick-up

City officials inform residents that yard waste pick-up has been suspended.

The city of Columbus has announced a major change in service.

Effective Friday March 27the, the city will not pick up yard waste or recycling collections.

Both will be suspended until further notice.

Officials did not explain why the change is necessary or if it is  because of the coronavirus.

If you have a truck and are able to haul your waste to the Granite Bluff landfill, the city’s yard waste site, you will not be charged.

Families are being urged to limit the amount of yard and recycling debris.

Your other household garbage wil continue to be picked up on your regular pick-up day.
