Columbus Memory Center Alzheimer Patient/Caregiver Sleep Study

The Columbus Memory Center will be conducting a sleep study with Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.

According to the Center, many Alzheimer’s patients have irregular sleep rhythm disorder.

And when patients do not sleep through the night, most likely the caretakers are not as well.

Dr. Jonathan Liss says this is a common reason why Alzheimer’s patients are then put in nursing homes.

So, the Center will conduct research to get a better sense of what caregivers are going through so they can better understand these issues and have better medication on the market.
