Late Night Showers, Warmup Late Week

COLD FRONT PASSES BUT TEMPERATURES INCREASE IN DRIER AIR

Another mild night is in store for us for your Tuesday evening. Lows will be in the mid 60s. Breezy conditions may continue through late evening as winds pump moisture north, aiding in a significant severe weather episode unfolding in far northern Alabama. There is no threat of severe weather for our area, but some decaying showers with perhaps a rumble of thunder or two will arrive in our area during the wee hours of the night into Wednesday morning.

A cold front will pass over us tomorrow, lowering humidity and bringing a pleasant afternoon. Lows will be mainly in the 50s Wednesday night as the lower humidity allows temperatures to be cooler. However, dry air cools efficiently and heats efficiently, and highs Thursday will be even warmer, rising into the lower to mid 80s. Upper 80s are possible by the end of the week over our area.

Another cold front and associated disturbance approaches the area for the weekend, bringing a chance of showers and storms. Temperatures will be knocked down again for Sunday into early next week with highs mainly in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
