Volkswagen Closes Mexico Factories
VOLKSWAGEN CLOSES MEXICO FACTORIES AMID CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK
(CNN) – German automaker Volkswagen has temporarily shutdown two of its plants in Mexico.
The company announced Friday that it will close plants in Guanajuato and Puebla in response to the growing coronavirus pandemic.
Production at both plants will be suspended from March 30th through April 12th.
The company also cited a decrease in market demand and the risk of supply shortage for the temporary closure.
