TSA Screening Less Passengers Than Year Ago
TSA SCREENING LESS THAN A QUARTER OF THE PASSENGERS IT DID A YEAR AGO
(CNN) – The number of people passing through security checkpoints at U.S. airports has decreased compared to last year.
It’s the latest sign that Americans are steering clear of air travel amid concerns about coronavirus.
TSA officers screened just over 593,000 people on Friday.
That’s compared to the nearly 2.6 million travelers that passed through checkpoints the same time last year.
The number of people screened by TSA has dropped steadily in March.
