White House Easter Egg Roll Canceled
1ST LADY MELANIA TRUMP CANCELS THE ANNUAL WHITE HOUSE EASTER EGG ROLL TO HELP STEM THE SPREAD OF THE CORONAVIRUS
(CNN) – First Lady Melania Trump has canceled the annual White House Easter egg roll, to help stem the spread of the coronavirus.
It comes after the CDC recommended the cancellation or postponement of gatherings of more than 50 people for two months.
The event was set to take place on April 13th.
The White House Easter egg roll tradition officially goes back to 1878.
It went on hiatus for several years during World Was I and World War II; as well as for several years in the 1940’s and early 1950’s for food rationing and White House construction.
