COVID-19 Putting Local Restaurants in Tough Spot Financially

THE CONCERNS SURROUNDING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 ARE HAVING AN EFFECT ON LOCAL RESTAURANTS

The growing concerns of of COVID-19 have already had a financial impact on local restaurants.

At Lemon Grass Thai & Sushi, they have already seen ticket orders go down by at least 50%. They have fears that it could get worse.

“Everything’s dropped and we’ve even reached out to the landlord to see if they can give us any kind of relief,” says Rodrigo Sardinas, husband of Lemon Grass Thai & Sushi Owner Jennie Sardinas. “Starting last week we’ve gotten to the point where we get 1-4 customers per day. We can’t afford to not do well for one or two moths, that will put us out of business.”

Many states have already closed restaurants and bars in hopes that it will stop the spread of COVID-19.
