Returning U.S. Soldiers Begin Quarantine

U.S. SOLDIERS RETURNING FROM AFGHANISTAN BEGINNING QUARANTINE

(CNN) – U.S. soldiers returning from Afghanistan are now under quarantine because of coronavirus.

The U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne division says more than 300 paratroopers have started a 14-day quarantine.

The Army is ordering all soldiers re-deploying from any country in the CDC’s ‘level-two’ travel advisory to undergo quarantine.

Soldiers who live off-base will stay at their residence.

While soldiers normally assigned to barracks or don’t have a local residence will be quarantined inside Fort Bragg.

82nd Airborne Commander Major General James Mingus says his number one priority is to protect paratroopers, their families and the community… And to prevent spreading the coronavirus.
