Former Central QB Peter Parrish Suspended from LSU for Violation of Team Rules

PARRISH MISSED OFFSEASON WORKOUTS FOLLOWING LSU'S NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY

There is an opening on the LSU Tigers roster, but it’s not only because Heisman quarterback Joe Burrow is going to the NFL Draft. Head Coach Ed Orgeron told reporters on Tuesday that former Phenix City Central Red Devil, Peter Parrish, has been suspended indefinitely from the LSU team for a violation of team rules.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Parrish has not been with the team for a while, and missed the team’s offseason workouts following the program’s national championship win in January.

“I don’t know when he is going to be back,” said Orgeron.

Coach O added that his staff has not decided whether they will bring in another quarterback to the roster to make up for the loss of Parrish.

In 2018, Parrish led the Red Devils to a 52-7 victory over the Thompson Warriors for the AHSAA Class 7A Football State Championship.
