The Sunshine Makes A Comeback
After several days of rainfall (heavy at times) and isolated strong thunderstorms, our fortunes are about to change!
High pressure now takes over and introduces pleasant weather through the weekend. It will be quite windy on Friday with gusts up to 30 mph which could bring down trees due to the saturated ground. It will take some time for the sogginess to dry up (flooding along the river remains a concern), but at least the sunshine will be out to help that cause along. Rain does return to the forecast by Tuesday as our next system moves toward the region from the west.
To go along with a healthy dose of sunshine, highs will range from the upper 50s to mid 60s Friday through the weekend. Lows will dip to the low to mid 30s Friday and Saturday night, but it won’t be as cold Sunday night with temperatures in the low to mid 40s.
