Small Chance Of A Rain Shower Today Before Cold Air Invades Tonight

Not a bad hump day (Wednesday) forecast.  At least it’s not raining to start your day again.  Some places could get a quick light shower or sprinkle of rain later this afternoon.  If you do, it’ll be barely measurable and the rain will not last long. Hopefully, we can build a streak of rain-free days this week.  Expect the temperatures today to remain close to average for today, with most of us near 63 for a high today (65 High and 43 Low,average temperatures for Columbus,GA).  A strong cold front will pass through the state this afternoon and bring brisk northwest winds 10 to 20 MPH (with higher gusts) today.  The strong winds will also usher in cold air from the north, as temperatures will drop into the low 30s tonight.  Cooler temperatures will stick around for the next few days with highs struggling to make it in the low 50s tomorrow.  At least, we’ll have plenty of sunshine for your Thursday.
