Old Man Winter Says “Howdy, Y’all!” Again
Here comes the cold! Over the next couple of nights, temperatures will be near or below freezing, so don’t forget to bring in pets, plants and insulate pipes.
We started feeling the effects of the colder air today as daytime highs were cooler and feel during the day, but the bigger blast of frigid air is yet to come. We’ll start Thursday in the low to mid 30s with highs in the afternoon stalling in the upper 40s to low 50s. With breezy conditions, wind chills won’t get out of the 40s. Friday morning will see a good portion of the area dip below freezing marking the coldest night of the week.
On the flip side, we’ll enjoy dry conditions and a healthy dose of sunshine Thursday through Sunday. The next chance for rain will come Monday as another system approaches. Isolated showers will be possible through the middle of the week as daytime highs warm back up to the low 70s.
