Rain Chances Decrease with Mild Temperatures Today
Rain showers will come to an end by 830 AM for areas along a line from Hurtsboro to Talbotton and to the northwest of this line. South of this line the rain showers and an isolated thunderstorm are possible thru 1030 AM. Skies will remain mostly cloudy for us today with mild temperatures reaching into the upper 60s and low 70s for most. Can’t rule out an isolated rain shower or two throughout the afternoon hours. Patchy dense fog will develop again through the overnight into the morning hours. Lows will fall into the lower 50s for most tonight, with an isolated shower possible.
Wind will increase Wednesday, as a strong but compact low pressure moves close to our area. The front associated with this low pressure system will usher in the cold air for the rest of the week. Highs will be in the low 60s tomorrow with a strong west to northwest wind at 10 to 20 MPH, higher gusts are possible. Temperatures will fall in the low to middle 30s Wednesday night, about 10 degrees below normal.
Highs and lows will remain (in the 50s) below normal through the weekend, with only a small chance of rain on Saturday.
