Peloton Is Giving Free Bikes To Flywheel Customers

PELOTON IS GIVING FREE BIKES TO DISAPPOINTED FLYWHEEL CUSTOMERS

(CNN) – Peloton is giving away free bikes to some disappointed Flywheel customers.

The two companies have been at odds over a patent infringement case since 2018.

Earlier this month, Flywheel settled the case, admitting it copied Peloton’s technology that allows bikers to race each other online.

Flywheel will shutdown it’s virtual classes for the in-home bikes.

Peloton says it will welcome their competitor’s customers by allowing them to trade in the $1,500 flywheel bikes for a used Peloton bike for free.

Flywheel’s studio operations won’t be affected by the changes.

It has 30 studios in the U.S.
