Foggy Start to Your Presidents Day

It’s a foggy start to your Presidents Day, this morning.  Some of you are under a dense fog advisory until 11 AM in Georgia and 9 AM in Alabama.  Please use caution if you’re driving in dense fog locations.   After the fog lifts today, expect a very small 20% chance of rain showers/drizzle for you afternoon.  Highs will be near 64 in the Columbus, GA area under mostly cloudy conditions.  Get out and enjoy today if you can.

Lows tonight will stay on the mild side with lows in the middle 50s for most areas (about 13 degrees above normal).  With the mild temperatures ahead tonight, rain chances will be on the increase.  The rain should hold off until midnight and a few thunderstorms are also possible (nothing strong or severe).

You can expect a good chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday, as several disturbances work through our area.  Chance of rain is near 100%. Some of the rainfall could be heavy at times. Highs will continue to be mild with temperatures topping around 70 for most locations.

Total rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible through Thursday.   So needless to say, we will have to watch for the chance of flooding in some locations, if storms train over the same areas.

After Thursday, cool and dry weather conditions return.
