A Very Cold Night Ahead; Saturday Looks Great

Get ready for frigid temperatures tonight with lows dipping into the upper 20s to low 30s. Be sure to bring in pets and plants and wrap up pipes. High pressure will keep us dry through Saturday afternoon with highs in the upper 50s to around 60. A disturbance is anticipated to develop in the northern Gulf accompanied by an upper level low to our northwest that could bring spotty showers to the area by late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. Isolated showers are possible Sunday into Monday.

Southwesterly flow will cause an increase in moisture by Tuesday, so showers could become more scattered. Daytime highs will look to push into the low 70s, so will add a chance for isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday, too. Will have to keep an eye out for the possibility of strong storms.

Another cold front looks to slide through in the middle of the week and will bring highs and lows back down again starting as early as Wednesday.

Keep smiling!
