Stormy in the Morning and Cooler in the Afternoon
Showers and strong thunderstorms are currently affecting our area. Most of the stormy weather should exit the area by 1100 AM. No widespread severe weather is expected, only a marginal chance for possible damaging winds. Afterwards, expect the temperatures to really take a tumble and fall into the upper 50s and lower 60s by 5 PM. Gusty northwest winds to 20 MPH will make it feel even cooler. Cold air will invade the south for a couple days, with lows in the 30s tonight and highs only in the middle 50s on Friday. Rain chances return late Saturday night into Sunday with the temperatures gradually warming up.
