Olivia Cochran Reveals Number 20 Jersey for McDonald’s All American Game

Carver High School honored one of the best basketball athletes in school history on Wednesday. Senior forward and Louisville signee Olivia Cochran revealed her number 20 McDonald’s All American Game jersey. Cochran is the first player from Columbus to be invited to the elite 24-man roster.

“It means a lot,” said Cochran. “It’s a big accomplishment and I’m proud of myself, and proud of how hard I’ve been working to get to where I’m going. I’m just ready to play in the All-Star Game.”

There was also a special surprise for the Carver senior. Basketball Head Coach Anson Hundley announced the retirement of Cochran’s Carver jersey, number 44. Her jersey will be the first to be hung on the wall and retired at the Richard Mahone gymnasium.

“I came to Carver the end of my freshman year,” said Cochran, “and I just worked hard to get to where Coach Hundley needed me to be for him and the team.”

The McDonald’s All American game tips off on April 1 in Houston.
