Mild and Wet Weather Pattern Continues

Another  mild start to the work week will continue thru the week. A deep southwesterly, upper level flow pattern will pump warm, moist air into the southeastern United States.  Temperatures will run 10 to 15 degrees above normal for most.  Heavy rainfall is also expected across northern Alabama and Georgia over the next few days.  Currently, flash flood watches are in effect across northern Alabama and Georgia. West-central Georgia and east-central Alabama will experience rounds of rainfall and storms starting late today and tonight.  The heaviest rainfall will continue to fall north of our area.  As stated before temperatures will climb into the 70s for highs and lows will only fall in the upper 50s and 60s.  Periods of rain and storms will continue throughout the week. If you’re traveling north today pay attention to local weather forecasts for any flooding issues that might happen.
