Active Weather Thursday

We’re in store for a very active weather Thursday!  Currently we have two watches and no warnings in our viewing area. The tornado watch goes until 1 PM EST and the flash flood watch goes until 7:00 AM EST Friday. Highs today will be around 7o degrees, with southerly winds 10 to 15 MPH and gusting to 25 MPH.  The dew points are in the middle 60s this morning making it feel a little humid outside.  Those high dew points will just add more fuel to the strong storm system moving our way. Strong and severe thunderstorms will continue to move into our area and produce additional heavy rainfall. Additional amounts will range from 1 to 3 inches of rainfall.  Outside of the flooding issues, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are all possible today. Rain tapers off later tonight, expect a low around 40.
Friday, much cooler and drier with a high near 50.  West winds 10 to 15 MPH, with higher gusts will make it feel cooler.
