It’s a raw weather day across east Alabama and west Georgia. Scattered off and on rain showers will continue throughout today. At least the heaviest rainfall will stay south and southeast of the area. We’re only expecting about a quarter of an inch of rain around the Columbus, GA area. Temperatures for today will also struggle to get into the low 50s, not to mention an east wind at 5 to 10 mph today. Later tonight we will get a break from the rain but look for patchy dense fog to form overnight into the morning hours.
Scattered light rain showers will transition the area during your Saturday morning hours. Afterwards, expect gradual clearing with highs in the lower to middle 50s for Saturday. If you’re going out Saturday night take a jacket with you, as lows will be in the middle to upper 30s.
Superbowl Sunday will be very pleasant with highs in the lower 60s under mostly sunny skies. Enjoy the second half of the weekend before rain returns for the work week.
